WORSHIP is at the very core of the Christian life. It is the essence of our existence; to bring honor to the Lord, not only with our lips but also with our very lives. Worship, as our God desires it, extends far beyond the music that we sing. Romans 12 says that God urges us to “offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—which is your spiritual worship.” But He also desires His people to worship together, to enter His sanctuary and with one mighty voice give praise to His holy name.
Worship at the Church of the Nazarene is centered around intimacy with God: being in awe of how great and wonderful He is and bowing reverently at His throne, laying our hearts at His feet in worship.
The worship time on Sunday mornings consists of praise, worship, as well as opportunities for “free worship,” each worshipper expressing from his or her heart to the Lord.
Our worship team at present is simple, consisting of an acoustic guitar and two vocals. (We are always praying that the Lord will bless us with musicians with a heart for worship.) Our musical style is also simple: if you like Vineyard Music (e.g., Kathryn Scott, Jeremy Riddle, Andy Park, etc.), or Integrity Music (e.g., Brian Doerksen, Paul Baloche, Don Moen), or even Passion music (e.g., Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Matt Redman), then you will enjoy our worship times, not only for the style but also because it is filled with a deep passion to worship our Wonderful Maker.
Our vision from the Lord is to see all people arise out of this dry desert and be filled with the Holy Spirit of God and be able to exuberantly express their worship from a heart that has been set free by the only One who has the power to heal and deliver: our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
